Located in Shanghai's iconic Bund district, the Shanghai Bund Center was designed by Portman Architects and opened in 2002. It includes 50 floors of office buildings, two 26-floor buildings for the Westin Shanghai Bund Center, the Banyan Tree Spa, restaurants, and entertainment venues. Since its opening, the Bund Center has become the headquarters or preferred office for many multinational companies including Deloitte, the Consulate General of Norway in Shanghai, the Consulate General of South Africa in Shanghai, Clifford Chance, and others.
The award-winning Westin Bund Center is dedicated to providing endless comfort for its tenants and visitors. The Center includes a mixture of both Asian and Western dining and entertainment facilities that bring together cultures from around the world to create a comfortable environment with stunning scenery. Today, the Bund Center is the hosting place for many public, commercial, and cultural events, including economic forums, annual meetings, and international fashion events. International political leaders including former British Prime Minister, Tony Blair, and former Member of the Swiss Federal Council, Pascal Chouchepin, have visited the Center.
